Launched at CCS in 2000, Community Arts Partnerships (CAP) is the direct result of the College’s commitment to serve Detroit neighborhoods. Community Arts Partnerships
Launched at CCS in 2000, Community Arts Partnerships (CAP) is the direct result of the College’s commitment to serve Detroit neighborhoods. CAP partners with existing programs and Detroit institutions to develop youth-serving art and design education systems. In addition to after-school and public art programs, CAP leads a training program for students interested in careers in the field, preparing them to become teaching artists, leading youth arts education programs across the city. CAP has partnered with over 318 organizations, trained nearly 200 teaching artists and served 65,000 students in Detroit neighborhoods.
